Dame Hannah Rogers Trust provides education, therapy, care and respite for children, young people and adults with profound physical disabilities and associated learning difficulties.
Dame Hannah Rogers Trust has, for 200 years, epitomised a ‘Tradition of Innovation’. We have a Residential Special School, a Children’s Home, a Respite Centre, a Family Support Group, Outreach Services, Training and, more recently, an innovative Adult Provision. We have always believed that a young person with physical disabilities thrives if all of the disciplines needed are available to them on one site.
This involves physiotherapy, speech and language therapy, education where applicable, occupational therapy, music therapy, expert medical staff, professional care and a team around them that knows them.
We have only been constrained by space. Think what we could do with Seale Hayne. We know that, in addition to a huge shortage of certain services, there are innovative services that we want to offer and know will transform the lives of the people that will use them.
There are few places that have the range of expertise that we do and we believe we have a duty to share that further a field than just our current users this proposal incorporates enterprise, community engagement, partnership and sustainability. The following will demonstrate our vision for this space. A change in the way we all think! |
